DHOFAR 910 Awesome and Rare Lunar/Moon Meteorite 12mg!

12 milligram fragment of Dhofar 910, a feldspathic glassy-matrix fragmental breccia from the lunar highlands found 2003 in Oman.  This is one of our favorite meteorites from the Moon exhibiting bright cataclastic anorthosites in a glassy dark gray matrix.  The contrast is absolutely stunning!  Add the presence of numerous vesicles and you have a winning combination, too handsome to properly describe.  This official meteorite named Dhofar 910 consisted of a single stone weighing 142 grams. Pairings to this attractive meteorite including Dhofar 081 have long since been sold out at upwards of $2,500.00 a gram.  Not only are these examples exceptional, they are among the few that were legally brought out of Oman!  With the exception of Swiss scientists, only three permits were ever issued from the Sultanate of Oman for the removal of material from this country.  All of these permits were assigned to the same group of expert German hunters who were responsible for bringing this world class specimen out.
